The trick was to figure out the hand written notes and follow the chain..
Mike called and asked what was up, and helped me work through the chain. Thanks Mike I learned something new.

The next day.. back to archive and restore issues..before calling support, I checked the device.. it was not responding to the requests to read the files.. so, I found the reboot menu.. and paused the requests.. let it cycle through its reboot process, and restarted the requests.. working!
...
Then I pulled down the stuck window shades in the main room. Better all down than some stuck up causing glare at bad moments.. I also unplugged several more of the controllers.. so they will stop trying to move.. of course I heard a complaint that one I pulled down was wrinkled and was spoiling a shot...
It never ends.

Tonight I got a call from Comcast..
The feed we send to them had digital errors.. could have been because I rebooted the fiber connection.. but they switched off our digital fiber and went to Off Air.. and asked me to see If I can correct the digital errors..
After I traced through the monitor cabling.. I cleaned the patch connection and asked them to verify its good.
A busy night so far...
